Mercedes-Benz C-Class reliability by year
Each year is complaints filed in that year’s first 3 years on the road, divided by however many of those years have passed. A model year younger than 3 years is too early to compare, so it is left out of the years named as having the fewest or the most complaints. Recalls are a separate count. The numbers are for the US-market Mercedes-Benz C-Class. How we count.

NHTSA campaign 17V-627 covers certain 2012-2014 C250, C350, and C300 4Matic sedans (with many other Mercedes models): insufficient grounding of steering components can allow the driver air bag to deploy inadvertently. Dealers add grounding. Campaign 17V-252 covers certain 2013-2014 C250 and C300 4MATIC vehicles among other models for a related electrical concern on affected builds. Confirm open campaigns by VIN; Mercedes lists recalls under trim strings such as C250/C300, not the umbrella "C-Class" name.

Campaign 21V-197 covers certain 2015-2020 C300 vehicles (with GLA, CLA, GLC, and other models): adhesive bonding of a front panel may deteriorate so the panel can detach; dealers reinstall the panel with approved primer and adhesive. Campaign 22V-189 covers certain 2021-2022 C-Class vehicles with a heated leather steering wheel for DISTRONIC hands-off detection software that may not warn when hands are off the wheel; dealers update the hand-detection software.
