Known issues for this generation
NHTSA recall 13V-157 covers 2012-2013 Fit vehicles: the electronic stability control system may allow excessive yaw rates at high steering angles with certain tires, which prevents the system from functioning properly, fails Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard No. 126 for electronic stability control, and increases the risk of a crash. Honda first recalled 43,782 Fit Sport vehicles in April 2013, then expanded the campaign in July 2013 to include an additional 48,138 Fit base-trim vehicles, for a total of 91,920 vehicles. The remedy is a free VSA software update performed by a Honda dealer; no hardware replacement is required.
