Ford Transit Connect reliability by year
Each year is complaints filed in that year’s first 3 years on the road, divided by however many of those years have passed. A model year younger than 3 years is too early to compare, so it is left out of the years named as having the fewest or the most complaints. Recalls are a separate count. The numbers are for the US-market Ford Transit Connect. How we count.

Safety recall 12S36 (NHTSA 12V-374) covers certain 2011-2012 Transit Connect vans whose windshield wiper arms may not have been adequately riveted, which can let a wiper arm clear the glass incompletely or inconsistently, or detach entirely, reducing driver visibility; Ford's dealers replace the driver and passenger side wiper arm and blade assemblies free of charge. Safety recall 21S24 (NHTSA 21V-376) affects certain 2013-2021 Transit Connect vans with the 2.5L engine, on which the bushing attaching the shifter cable to the transmission can degrade or detach. A damaged or missing bushing may keep the van from shifting into the intended gear, so it can move in an unexpected direction, and it may roll away after the driver selects Park; Ford's dealers replace the underhood shifter cable bushing and add a protective cap free of charge.
