Known issues for this generation
Recall 18V-108 covers certain 2018 Toyota Camry vehicles equipped with V6 engines. These vehicles have fuel delivery pipes that may not be properly connected to the fuel hoses in the engine compartment. The improperly connected hoses may leak fuel, which, in the presence of an ignition source, can increase the risk of a fire. Dealers inspect the fuel pipes and correct installation as necessary. Recall 18V-200 covers certain 2018 Toyota Camry vehicles equipped with a 2.5L, four-cylinder engine. The pistons on these vehicles may be larger than specified, possibly causing the engine to stall. Dealers inspect production date codes on the pistons and replace the engine assembly when an affected piston is found. Recall 21V-890 covers certain 2018-2019 Camry vehicles. The vane cap inside the vacuum pump may break, causing the pump to fail, which could result in a sudden loss of braking assist. Dealers repair or replace the vacuum pump as necessary. Recall 24V-128 covers certain 2023-2024 Camry and Camry Hybrid vehicles. The second-row center and right-side seats may have insufficiently welded head restraint brackets, so these vehicles fail to comply with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 202, "Head Restraints." A head restraint bracket that is insufficiently welded may not properly restrain an occupant during a crash. Dealers replace the 60% rear seat-back frame sub-assembly.
