Ford Maverick reliability by year
Each year is complaints filed in that year’s first 3 years on the road, divided by however many of those years have passed. A model year younger than 3 years is too early to compare, so it is left out of the years named as having the fewest or the most complaints. Recalls are a separate count. The numbers are for the US-market Ford Maverick. How we count.

Known issues for this generation
Ford issued a software recall (NHTSA 24V-330, Ford 24S33) covering certain 2022-2024 Maverick Hybrid trucks whose Hybrid Powertrain Control Module could falsely set a fault code and force the transmission into neutral while driving, causing a loss of drive power that Ford's dealers correct with a free HPCM software update. Separately, NHTSA recall 25V863 (Ford 25C69), which also covers the F-150 Lightning and Mustang Mach-E, affects certain 2025-2026 Maverick trucks whose integrated park module may fail to fully lock into Park, creating a rollaway risk that Ford remedies with an over-the-air or dealer software update.
