Known issues for this generation
NHTSA safety recall 23V-545 covers certain 2022-2023 Jeep Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer vehicles. The upper B-pillar interior trim may not be fully seated and could interfere with side curtain air bag (SABIC) deployment, failing to comply with FMVSS 226. A compromised SABIC deployment can reduce occupant protection in a crash. Remedy: dealers inspect and reseat or replace the trim pieces as necessary, free of charge. NHTSA safety recall 23V-577 covers certain 2022-2024 Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer (also listing Grand Cherokee models): Central Vision Park Assist module software may prevent the rearview image from displaying in reverse, failing FMVSS rear-visibility requirements. Remedy: dealers update the CVPAM software free of charge. When NHTSA lists Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer together, the published unit count is shared.
