Known issues for this generation
Recall 25V-235 covers certain 2025 Hyundai IONIQ 5 "N" vehicles equipped with left-foot braking (LFB) and N e-shift features. NHTSA states that the integrated electronic brake (IEB) and vehicle control unit (VCU) software may cause reduced braking performance when LFB is activated, and that the vehicle may continue to accelerate after the pedal is released while N e-shift is engaged. Hyundai advises owners not to use LFB or N e-Shift until the remedy is performed; IEB and VCU software is updated over-the-air or by a dealer. The campaign lists 1,589 vehicles and replaces recall 25V-065 (1,587 vehicles), whose prior remedy did not fully address the issue.
