Summary General Motors, LLC (GM) is recalling certain 2025 Cadillac XT4 vehicles. The instrument panel may be missing the perforation on the underside of the panel cover that allows the passenger-side air bag to deploy properly.

Remedy Dealers will replace the instrument panel upper cover, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed November 29, 2024. Owners may contact Cadillac customer service at 1-800-458-8006. GM's number for this recall is A242476151.

Recall 21V649000 covers certain 2019-2021 Cadillac XT4 vehicles (with 2016-2021 Chevrolet Malibu) whose rear seat belt retractors may be improperly secured with loose or missing fasteners; dealers inspect and tighten the retractors as needed. Recall 20V668000 covers certain 2019-2020 XT4 vehicles among a large multi-model start/stop accumulator campaign where the endcap may have missing bolts, which can lead to a transmission oil leak and loss of propulsion; dealers inspect and replace the accumulator if bolts are missing. Recall 22V868000 covers certain 2019-2020 XT4 vehicles with optional Surround Vision whose video processing module may lose communication with the rearview camera; dealers update VPM software or replace the VPM. Recall 20V588000 covers certain 2020 XT4 vehicles (with Corvette, CT4, CT5, Trailblazer, and Encore GX) for electronic brake-boost sensor contamination that can interrupt communication and lose brake-boost assist; dealers replace the electronic brake boost module.
