Lexus RC reliability by year
Each year is complaints filed in that year’s first 3 years on the road, divided by however many of those years have passed. A model year younger than 3 years is too early to compare, so it is left out of the years named as having the fewest or the most complaints. Recalls are a separate count. The numbers are for the US-market Lexus RC. How we count.

Known issues for this generation
NHTSA recall 26V-222 covers certain 2015-2022 Lexus RC vehicles (and also certain GS and IS models): the low-pressure fuel pump inside the fuel tank may fail. Fuel pump failure can cause an engine stall, increasing the risk of a crash. Dealers replace the fuel pump assembly free of charge. Earlier recall 18V-107 covers certain 2015-2018 RC F vehicles (with certain GS F and 2018 LC500 models) equipped with 5.0L V8 engines that have two high-pressure fuel pumps: specific operating conditions may damage a pulsation damper and crack the fuel pump cover, which may leak fuel and, in the presence of an ignition source, increase fire risk. Dealers replace the high-pressure fuel pumps free of charge.
