Known issues for this generation
Certain 2011-2012 Odyssey Touring and Touring Elite models have a documented torque-converter lock-up-clutch judder felt between about 20 and 45 mph. Honda's fix is a software update for the transmission plus a fluid replacement, and the company extended the torque-converter warranty for affected vehicles to 8 years from the original purchase date or 105,000 miles, whichever comes first (Service Bulletins 16-046 and 16-052).

Known issues for this generation
Certain 2018-2020 Odysseys were covered by a nationwide safety recall (NHTSA campaign 20V-437, Honda number A88) for the power sliding doors: water can enter the outer door handle cable assemblies through a poor seal, and in freezing temperatures that trapped water can add friction and keep the latch from closing completely, so a sliding door could open while the vehicle is moving. Dealers replace both sliding door outer handle cables and bushing joints at no cost.
