Known issues for this generation

NHTSA complaints filed on 2022 and newer Civics most often name the steering. Recall 24V-744 covers certain 2022-2025 Civic and Civic Hatchback vehicles, and also other Honda and Acura models: the steering gearbox may have been manufactured incorrectly, which can cause excessive internal friction and make the vehicle difficult to steer. The campaign covers 1,693,199 vehicles across those models. Dealers replace the worm gear spring and add or redistribute grease. Recall 23V-704 covers certain 2022-2024 Civic 4-door and 5-door vehicles that received a replacement power steering rack during a service repair. That rack may have been assembled incorrectly, which can let the tire chafe the lower suspension or the tie rod.
