Genesis G80 reliability by year
Each year is complaints filed in that year’s first 3 years on the road, divided by however many of those years have passed. A model year younger than 3 years is too early to compare, so it is left out of the years named as having the fewest or the most complaints. Recalls are a separate count. The numbers are for the US-market Genesis G80. How we count.

Known issues for this generation
Recall 24V191000 covers certain 2018-2020 Genesis G80 vehicles with the 3.3-liter V6 turbocharged engine (along with other Genesis and Hyundai models). The left turbocharger oil feed pipe may deteriorate and leak oil, which can increase the risk of an engine compartment fire near hot components. Dealers replace the left turbocharger oil feed pipe free of charge. This recall expands and replaces recall 19V-538; vehicles previously repaired under 19V-538 need the new remedy.

Fuel may leak at the pipe connection between the fuel pipe and fuel rail, which increases the risk of a fire. Dealers inspect and tighten or replace the fuel pipe as necessary, free of charge. Recall 23V094000 covers certain 2021-2023 Genesis G80 vehicles (with GV80, GV70, and GV60 in the same campaign) where front seat belt pretensioners may explode upon deployment in a crash; dealers secure the pretensioners with a cap free of charge, and this recall supersedes and expands recall 21V-796.
