Each year is complaints filed in that year’s first 3 years on the road, divided by however many of those years have passed. A model year younger than 3 years is too early to compare, so it is left out of the years named as having the fewest or the most complaints. Recalls are a separate count. The numbers are for the US-market Cadillac Lyriq. How we count.

Known issues for this generation

NHTSA safety recall 23V-785 covers certain 2023-2024 LYRIQ vehicles. The bracket that anchors the left-rear and center-rear seat belts may have been improperly welded to the seat frame. An improperly welded bracket may not restrain an occupant as intended in a crash. Owners are advised not to use those rear seating positions until repaired; dealers replace the rear seat cushion frame free of charge. NHTSA safety recall 24V-320 covers certain 2024 Cadillac Lyriq and other GM EVs: electric motors in the rear drive units may have insufficiently insulated wires that can contact each other, resulting in a loss of drive power. Remedy: dealers replace the rear drive unit free of charge. When NHTSA lists multiple GM EVs in one campaign, the published unit count is shared.
